Natsu Matsuri (Japanese Summer Festival)

“Omatsuri” means a ritual for worshipping Gods or Buddha, or an event held in gratitude towards nature.
In Japan, Bon odori is always held in the festival.

Bon odori is the dance for holding a memorial service for the dead during the Bon period.

In performing Bon odori, a tower will be built in the center of an open space. On the top of tower, there will be a leader who sings a leading note for the song. Then, other participants will dance along with the song while moving around the tower.
